Tasting Evening – Portuguese Wines – Poças: 100 Years at the Top of their Art! – Meet the Winemaker Pedro Poças Pintão
Date : Wednesday, October 24th, 2018

It all started in 1918, a family tradition that has been going on for a 100 years, to the delight of our taste buds! Extending from east to west in the famous wine region of the Douro Valley in Portugal, Poças vineyards spread over three properties. The specific terroir of the region allows grapes to develop a high rate of tanins and sugar, to produce wines and ports of superior quality. The wines presented will be served in accordance with Portuguese inspired tapas.

Meet one of the pillars of the Poças family, the winemaker Pedro Poças Pintão, that will certainly transfer you the passion for Portuguese wines, specifically coming from the magnificent Douro Valley! He will be accompanied by representatives of A.O.C. & Cie agency, who will also be happy to answer your questions about the particularities of the wines and porto presented.

FROM ONE SUMMIT TO ANOTHER DISCOVERY WALK

“Les amis de la montagne”, in collaboration with the Place Ville Marie Observatory, offer you an exceptional guided hike. From Kondiaronk Lookout, at the top of Mount Royal to the top of Place Ville Marie, retrace the history of the mountain following the footsteps of Montreal builders. The route takes part of the new Promenade Fleuve-montagne. Once at the Observatory, you can admire the jewels of our metropolis in 360 °.
